To hell with having to sit through a whole 40-minute set before hearing the next artist! Jimmy Bartolo and Ben Mifsud Joslin are switching things up at Offbeat, ping-pong style. They’ll rotate between playing one song each until they each reach the end of their repertoire – and they’ll accompany each other sporadically along the way.
Jimmy Bartolo is a Maltese music producer, performer, Brikkuni (that band), and full-time cat daddy/voyeur. Apart from founding the local Maltese music indie label Ultralow Music, Jimmy spends some of his free time writing songs for himself and, in some special cases, writing about himself in the third person.
Ben writes ambient-ish music with a pop sensibility, using his bass guitar, effects pedals, drum machines, and loopers. His debut release, Plunge (A Live EP), is coming out on the 29th of August. Ben also plays bass with Eyes to Argus and DALAM and runs the 'Niche Music That Pops' blog.
